Nadav GurCEO
Nadav Gur founded MobiMate in 2000 and has led it through the post-bubble years to its respected position in the industry. Nadav has over 15 years of experience managing complex systems involving people, technology and far-reaching goals.
Prior to founding MobiMate, Nadav was the first employee of Lamda Systems Engineering, a consulting firm managing military and civil aerospace C3I projects. In that capacity he has led large-scale software and hardware projects for contracting firms and governments, and was actively involved in project management, system design and systems analysis.
Nadav is a major in the Israeli Air Force; he has served six years as an air control officer and is still involved in active reserve duty. He holds an M.S. in Business Administration from the Recanati School at Tel Aviv University. He received his B.S. in Computer Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Ian BermanVice President, Business Development
Ian Berman has managed the company's strategic relationships with handset vendors, wireless carriers and content partners around the world since 2001. He has over 15 years of business development experience in the PC, Internet and mobile industries nurturing deals that have resulted in many millions of software units shipped with market leaders including Nokia, RIM, Sony Ericsson, AT&T, O2, Orange, Fujitsu, HP, Palm, Sony Electronics, and EarthLink.
Before joining MobiMate, Ian founded The Beachhead Group Inc., a business development consulting firm for mobile application ISVs. He was also a co-founder of Mobli Inc., a mobile software publisher with offices on three continents. Prior to entering the mobile industry, Ian was an early member of eToys and eventually part of the eToys UK launch team. His career commenced with SusTeen, where he became the Director of New Business Development, leading the PC maker's first foray into the Japanese software market.
Ian earned his MBA in Marketing from UCLA Anderson School of Management and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California - Irvine with a dual B.A. in Economics and Japanese Language & Literature.
Gilad Z. GruberVice President, Research and Development
Gilad Gruber has managed all development testing and IT-related activities at MobiMate since early 2007. Prior to joining MobiMate, Gilad served as Vice President, Research & Design, at Prolify, managing all development and testing aspects of the Prolify Visibility Suite. Gilad also served as Director of small business solutions (SBS) research, leading a technology and infrastructure research effort.
In his role as a Research & Design Director at SAP (NYSE:SAP), he managed all aspects of SAP Business One development and testing. Before SAP, Gilad held various director-level positions at Orsus Solutions, a solutions provider extending enterprise applications to mobile and field-based employees. He has also held several technical and managerial positions at TopTier (now SAP Portals, a subsidiary of SAP) and at Mercury (NASDAQ: MERQE).
Gilad holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering and an M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California - San Diego.
Jon MichaeliVice President, Marketing
Jon Michaeli heads marketing and product management for WorldMate. He has more than 10 years experience in viral and grassroots marketing, product marketing and management, partner marketing and brand management for software and Internet companies. He has a proven track record of successful marketing campaigns that increase market penetration, customer loyalty and brand awareness.
Prior to joining WorldMate, Jon served as Vice President, Marketing, at Panraven, where he was responsible for member acquisition and retention programs, partner marketing initiatives and strategic business development.
During his career, Jon has held several leadership positions at Internet startups with a focus on e- commerce and social media, at companies such as Gather.com and Panraven. In addition, Jon developed significant experience in the online travel arena while working for Princess Cruises and World Travel Holdings (formerly National Leisure Group).
Jon holds an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA. He received his B.A. in Economics from Tufts University.
