(Sr.) Marketing Manager

Responsibilities

The (Sr.) Marketing Manager will report to the VP, Marketing and will serve as a key member of WorldMate’s management team.  This person will assist with all marketing activities for the company, including marketing via industry channel partners as well as direct-to-consumer campaigns. The ideal candidate is someone who has a well-rounded marketing skill set, can effectively manage partner relations and has experience with social media and online/email marketing techniques.

Online and New Media

  • Work together with marketing team to execute integrated campaigns (including email, online, guerilla, traditional media and social media components)
  • Coordinate and assist efforts by PR firm and product management to conduct outreach and interaction with industry bloggers and other key influencers (both members and non-members)
  • Proactively and regularly post on industry forums and blogs, positioning WorldMate as a knowledge source and leader in the mobile travel arena
  • Maintain an active presence in and execute a plan to penetrate key social networks, including Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Utilize social media / Web 2.0 tools (e.g. social bookmarking, viral widgets/content) as appropriate to create a buzz about WorldMate Live
  • Develop, manage and coordinate the company blog and member forum

Partner Management

  • Manage and foster relationships with mobile and travel industry partners, and assume ownership and accountability of all deliverables and activities, including marketing collateral, copy/messaging, display ads, etc.
  • Manage relationship with vendors, including PR firm, external email provider, and misc. marketing agencies and 3rd party consultants.

Traditional Marcom

  • Plan and organize all details related to industry trade shows and events that WorldMate attends, including press events, speaking opportunities, booth set up/display, onsite demonstrations, collateral, etc.
  • Actively “police” member communications through all channels, including web/mobile platforms and 3rd party affiliates to ensure clarity and consistency of company and product messaging.

Position location - US headquarters in Atlanta, GA.


Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years experience in e-commerce / consumer Internet/ mobile industries, with a strong track record of success. Experience in travel industry a plus.
  • B to C experience a must.
  • Occasional travel (approx. 2  times per year) to the company’s office in Israel
  • Superior interpersonal and verbal skills required to promote collaborative spirit, inspire team to achieve results, interface directly with executive management, and foster 3rd party relationships
  • Knowledge and understanding of Web 2.0 trends, including experience with Facebook applications and other social media widgets and active involvement in social networks and communities
  • A fun, energetic, passionate spirit
  • Extremely detail oriented, a strong sense of personal ownership, and experience working in a high growth and/or high performance environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Director of Product Marketing

Responsibilities

The Director of Product Marketing will report to the VP, Marketing, and will serve as a key member of WorldMate's management team. This person will be the "marketing owner" of the WorldMate Live platform, including both the mobile service and the web application. The ideal candidate is a visionary capable of blending both creative and analytical skill sets to achieve the company's goals and someone who can provide strategic input - but also roll up his/her sleeves and just "make it happen."

Product Ownership

  • Develop business cases justifying product investment and, combining input from the Product Director and VP, Marketing, work to establish a product roadmap supported by financial models (e.g., ROI) and research
  • Write MRDs for new product features and functionality
  • Become an industry expert and thought leader, keep abreast of the competition and new developments in the space, identify new market opportunities, creatively translate market needs into the product terms
  • Lead CRM and beta testing efforts for new product rollouts and existing product updates and manage feedback loop from members back to Product and Engineering teams
  • Support Product Director and Managers (based in Israel) in writing PRDs and ensuring marketing requirements are upheld in the design and development process.

Research and Analytics

  • Establish, monitor and adapt KPI reporting to keep a pulse on the business
  • Assimilate findings and feedback from reports/studies, surveys, Web analytics/usage data, and customer interactions to recommendations that would enhance member experience and stickiness
  • Conduct ad hoc tests (e.g., on emails, landing pages, pricing policies, etc.) in an attempt to increase acquisition, engagement and subscription retention
  • Publish key findings in white papers that serve to educate both the company and the market

Customer and Vendor Relations

  • Work with Customer Relations to improve CRM methods and to ensure there is an effective feedback loop back into design/UI improvements and feature development
  • Develop and cultivate company blog, forum and knowledgebase
  • Initiate and manage relationships with third-party vendors (e.g., email provider), seeking to maximize results

  • Excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. MS Access a plus. Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SPSS) is also a plus
  • Very comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment with a desire to take initiative and drive projects forward
  • High-level knowledge of Web 2.0 and other industry trends
  • Experience managing teams, including hiring, monitoring and evaluating performance and developing skill set of direct reports
  • Experience in structuring and overseeing commercial agreements
  • BA/BS degree, MBA and/or management consulting experience strongly preferred

Job Description

Responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations. Provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the company. This is an Executive position requiring experience managing complex projects with limited direction. The person in this role will participate in establishing strategic plans and objectives, Will be a key member of the executive level management team and be involved with cross functional and cross divisional coordination.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create, lead, coordinate, and evaluate the financial processes of the company including budgeting, tracking, analysis etc. Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
  • Lead administrative processes including setting up our new Atlanta HQ, relocating key people, and setting up infrastructures and procedures.
  • Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and position control documents, department budgets etc. Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders.
  • Lead investor and board relations as regards reporting and financial forecasting.
  • Supervise financial and administrative operations of our Israeli subsidiary.
  • Guide and coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the company.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.


Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
  • Strong operational and business acumen to be able to quickly identify trends and issues.
  • Results oriented with the ability use common sense and think creatively. Be a positive and effective business partner to both CEO and VPs. Ability to break down barriers and/or roadblocks to allow staff to do their jobs - must be able to quickly see through potential smoke screens and question in a collaborative manner.
  • An open management style encouraging bold thinking and exhibiting excellent listening and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Experience in working in an international and multi-cultural organization. Israeli experience is an advantage.
  • This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of five years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position. A Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting, and / or a CPA are an advantage. Experience working in a start-up environment is an advantage
